Homestead Inspections, LLC is owned and operated by Mike Criner, a licensed West Virginia Home Inspector with over three years of inspection experience and more than 30 years in the construction and building maintenance fields. Mike is a retired USPS Area Maintenance Technician and has an extensive background in residential and commercial building systems.

Mike is also a West Virginia–licensed HVAC technician, a licensed backflow preventer assembly tester/inspector, a former Realtor, and a U.S. Army veteran. Throughout his career with the USPS, he received advanced technical training in:

• Industrial electricity

• Environmental controls

• Heat pump maintenance & repair

• Boiler and chiller maintenance

• Rooftop HVAC systems

• Airborne ultrasonography

• Infrared thermography

• Additional specialized building maintenance programs at the USPS National Center for Employee Development in Norman, OK

He is a graduate of the Home Inspector Training Institute in St. Albans, WV and a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).
